… She Said, Flatly #1
on February 14, 2011 and modified on April 6, 2011.
Rather than just tossing up more old obsolete drawings I thought I’d start sharing what is both a sort-of look at NTO’s process and potentially funny.
The lion’s share of the comic’s character flats are done by my sister, Cate, so I figured I’d show you her contribution to getting the colors done … along with the dialogue the pages usually come back with (click for bigger, more legible images).
Lookback, page 4: “U haz a nice tabelz”
Lookback, page 5: Cate not only writes in her own dialogue; she frequently makes fun of missing elements or continuity errors (read: me).
Lookback, page 7: Cate and I share many of the same influences.
Tune in next week.
This is totally the true dialogue.
I ate ur feathur. Ahaha. Lovely.
If (when?) you print your first book, you should totally include some of these as extras in the back. Hilarious! I was especially won over by the ‘nice table’ dialogue. XD
