Sample the Reserve: Broken Sky Page 3 Painting Process
Since it was now a full year ago, I’m going to let the rest of you in on this super secret coloring process video I did for Patrons way back in 2014 (I polled gracious contributors with a survey as to what kind of tutorial they’d like to see and they overwhelmingly requested a coloring process video), and remind everyone that if my Patreon gets over $500 I’ll do these monthly (or more!) along with some other cool bonuses. Thanks, guys! See you in Diamondback Ridge!
EDIT: It was brought to my attention that my selection of jams in the original video made it unviewable in some countries. This is a bummer, since the tracklist was my favorite bit of an otherwise long, dry video, but if you’re in Germany, etc., and want to check it out sans offending audio, here’s that link.
“Unfortunately, this video is not available in your country because it could contain music from SME, for which we could not agree on conditions of use with GEMA. ” :C
That is what I get for being German.
Uhhhhhhh it’s because of the music I’ve got in the video. I can upload a version without the audio if you’re interested but personally my favorite part is the jams. I guess you’ll have to add your own. :/
Here you go.
It’s just amazing how much detail is provided by shading and how rich the overall effects become. I am in awe, I still am totally a manual artist.
Thanks Karyl! Honestly though I work digital because I’m lazy; I can’t do near as much as fast traditional. It’s much less forgiving!
