Never enter a sword fight in a rage… I love that you are able in these posts to concentrate on the figures mostly and not worry so much about the elaborate backgrounds. Not that I don’t adore the backdrops in NTO – but this allows some economy and drama of a different sort. Like the first cell of this page – love that. The salivary overload of the young brother’s fury in the previous page is also very effective. He’s abandoned himself to his emotions. The spittle makes me hear the rising hysteria in his voice.
Lovely parting detail – the white ground at the bottom, with the hints of the grass at their boots. Beautifully understated and it emphasizes the anchor points of their different thrusts.
I find myself wondering if you probably practise sabre fencing or something similar. The way you show it tells at least of some deep research, if not more. Fiction needs more believeable sword fights! 🙂
A saber duel in front of two enemy armed regiments, what could possibly go wrong?

what a sucker. Lucius is obviously planning something while they fight.
