I never noticed this comment before, probably because it was posted 4 months after the page. And now, another 3 months later … this slayed me. Seriously I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this hard at a comment on the comic. Thanks, Storel. 😀
Okay, now the stuff is hitting the fan, BUT… If Lucas’s sorceress is the at good a shot, which clearly she is, why does she need to put a spell on the bullet that pierces the heart of the lieutenant and instantly freezes him? Why? The story deepens.
Maybe to be sure that it would be lethal even if she’d hit him at his arm? Maybe she’s “generating” bullets this way? Or maybe to be cool (oh, that pun :d )? Just guessing 😀
And that’s a thing I haven’t tought about! Well, it would make a lot more sense at this short range that she just froze his bullet right before her face in order to defend herself and then just shoot a bullet that by default is “frosty”.
After looking at the comic again: ok, I got excited, the bullet he shot threw her hat off. So I suppose we’re back to “she cast a spell on her gun” 😛
As far as I can recall, this is a stand-alone that Erin has wanted to utilize for some time. This gives her a break from the full-out effort of NTO and a chance to have some life for herself.
Sudden thought: could Hunter be the son of Lucius and this lady?
Only if Vane is the daughter of this lieutenant who missed at such close range… 😉

Shoulda known a sharp dresser like that. Every proper wizard has coattails.

Maybe the ice is a side effect of an accuracy spell? But I agree, I think this plot has perhaps thickened, like good stew.

Because overkill always works.
There is no overkill…there is only “shoot, reload, keep shooting”
Maxim 37: There is no ‘overkill.’ There is only ‘open fire’ and ‘I need to reload.’
(The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries)
Is she shooting or reflecting his shot (with a little something extra)?

Sorry, ment to say , If Lucas’s sorceress is that good a shot,… Damn I wish we could go back in our comments and correct our mistakes.
Well, that escalated quickly.
Holy fish sticks!!! Things are going to Hades in a bucket!! great art and story as usual!
So much for the “Duel as token for our Armies” idea… Break out the HazMat suits, ’cause the bio-waste is flying.
Is this a completely different story, or is this going to tie in with the one with Black and Hunter?

Yeah, this is about the only way this could have ended.
I am curious too about the fancy magic bullet the Lady is huh shooting?
Yeah a duel to stop a battle never works, no matter what one of the people who could enforce the “everyone go home” is dead.
