Enjoying this mini-story so far. I dig your art style so it’s fun seeing different things. Looking forward to the kickstarter, and hope everything’s going well.
Presented with an evil, possibly soul-consuming *thing*, I do not think my one and only question would be “Well, why not?”. Good luck to my friend. You’re gonna need it.
Ha! That’s super kind of you. I don’t thumbnail these though or make much of an effort to set up very interesting angles or paneling and they take a tiny, tiny fraction of the time the standard NTO pages take. I can do these in a sitting — NTO itself takes me an embarassing amount of time per page.
Speaking for myself, I hope you’ll leave off judging yourself on the time spent on NTO pages. I find the work of such exceptional purity of focus and emotion that I’d be surprised if it went faster. PLEASE don’t diminish it in any way. Good things come to those who wait, and we’ll wait. 😀
Oh! I finally realized what you meant here, on my second pass through the archives. Veronique Dauterive’s murdered Aunt Boudreaux!
Hmm, this adds new light to VD’s comment that “My aunt always did keep peculiar company”. Considering what a nasty little trinket she just sold Mr Author, she must have kept some very peculiar company. Suddenly I’m less surprised that she was murdered.
I have a verry bad feeling about this…

Just look at those last two panels! Things have gotten downright jaunty! 😀
I am amazed that this hiatus comic is considered visually simple! Its better than most webcomics I read on a weekly release schedule.

Wow, thanks so much, Karyl. 😀
Boudreaux!
Good catch.

A fine Nah’Oluhns name. “How much?” “Everything man. All that you got.”
