Euh… well, this Genevieve story is supposed to be an hiatus of the regular comic called Next Town Over, featuring Hunter and Black. Who are returning, as Erin posted above, on April 20th (yay!! 🙂

… are there folks really just reading the filler comic? That’s really weird & vaguely distressing.

Go back and read Next Town Over proper, sir!

I’m thinking he’s dead-dead. And it seems probable that his soul was part of her creation, meaning if he comes back, she dies. Just speculation, of course.

This is so classy to see! 😀

It changes nothing, but looking back I wish I’d payed more attention to the writing on the page about illicit blooddrinkers.

I gotta admit, the volume of her female endowment struck me as a bit over-the-top (speaking for myself, even as a male reader).

      I blame the writer’s overbearing imagination 😉

Given the time period, she’s likely wearing a corset which could extenuation her womanliness. She also appears to be fairly tall, so the endowment doesn’t seem too disproportionate.

Well, greetings Miss Genevieve; a pleasure to meet you after all this time.

Honestly I was half expecting this to the secret orgin of Miss Black. Perhhaps the reason Hunters attempt to resurrect her went awry. Her not being the 100% natural human the spell called for.

I’m not sure it was said anywhere, but I had assumed her to be some female equivalent of Sherlock Holmes. But seems she is a more physical adventurer, and unlike Mr. Holmes acquainted with the supernatural.

Poor lady, from ink on the pages to flesh and blood inside a minute; must be confusing. And to top it off, a demon looming over her.

Once she dispatches him, I wonder what she will make of the fresh corpse and one of her adventures written all over the place. And then notice the whole series on the late Author’s shelf.

I find it a bit amusing, the creation is looking to be more capable than her creator. Reminds me of Roland in the Dark Tower Cycle.

But then I am getting ahead of myself, the lady has yet to get the chance to speak. Do carry on!

what author would want to create a character less than their self?

True enough, but it is still interesting to see play out.

In a certain fashion its a daughter avenging her father(or so we anticipate). More kinds of love than romance, and he did give his life and soul to bring her to life.

    Great twist 😀
So in the end, author used a demon to create a demon-huntress, inherited by a part of his soul. Not the worst deal with the devil

I must say I enjoy both the writing and the art. “Filler piece?” This is quantum levels above what I’m used to seeing in web-coming fillers.
About the writing: I love the latest twist. I could see the demon’s plan clearly, but, you masked the artist’s plan quite well. Well played.
