No, no, no. It’s obviously just a lanyard, nothing nefarious or power-carrying. Beside, you don’t have to worry until she invents electric lederhosen, or possibly laserhosen. Until then we’re fine.
Only 120? As a teen cut my teeth on a hydraulic system that ran 10,000psi. The control valves I used were all groin high and there were lots of exposed hoses. Think about it, good old red hydraulic fluid at 10,000psi and it’s groin high. Don’t matter what’s in those pants it’s going to hurt. And it was used to sling around and fling about 207# object on 3 axis, 360deg total arc in the vertical and about 290 horizontal. Fun times that was
So … they’re aware of those hunting Hunter and Mrs. Hunter. Two hunters went a’hunting, they peered throught sights alight, two hunters went a’hunting, a passe lit up bright, in flames afire infernal, with eldrich tech from night, ‘s dark pit infernal, to rend and tear out life! Sorry. I didn’t control myself.
The head wound’s still there on The Tumbling JHH page 6 when Hunter pulled the demon out of her. If you’re thinking about the panels where Coyote’s talking to the demon, that’s probably her soul, not her body. Even there she has a blood running out of her nose at first, which is probably a callback to her death via hemorrhagic Violet Fever. (The Tumbling JHH page 7.)
I suspect our ambushers are about to be ambushed.
Does that rifle have…a power cord?!

This rifle has show up In Fort Fairbanks Page 13 https://nexttownover.net/comic/book10-fortfairbanks/fort-fairbanks-page-13/
The pal Honzinator says it: That rifle is pneumatically attached to a massively large power system in Diamonds.
Big compressor pumping 3000 or 4000 cubic feet a minute at 120+ psig, perhaps?

I’m more familiar with the pneumatic end of things, but your end of things seems fun, for some perverse values of “fun”.
Good catch. I’d forgotten about that.
Y’know, someone in Hollywood needs to option this story for the movie rights. It NEEDS to be put up on the big screen.
Who would you cast? Who would direct? It has to be just right or it would be awful.
And how would you keep the suits from just completely ruining it?
That’s easy, just point out to the suits you know a guy who lives next to multiple national forests and was a star pupil of Big Julie. 😉
Just wow. Love the twists and turns in this story and I will be sad to see it end!

Huh. When the spirit is taken out of her, her wounds heal. When it goes back in, they return.

Amazing, I just now noticed that the pistol Vane/Mrs Hunter is carrying bears more than just a passing resemblance to a Volcanic pistol: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volcanic_Repeating_Arms
