Ooh… now *that’s* quite the Exclusive Contract… but really, a boombox held overhead blaring ’80s love songs probably would have worked just as well! :p
KAWAII !! The Powerful Chemistry between these Two was evident from the First Pages, but only ONE thing is more Puzzling then John’s reluctance to Fight Back, against the Vengeance Demon, infesting the Undead “Husk” of his Wife, or His unceasing efforts to Make It Better, when what was Left of Vane made it clear She AND the Demon wanted only to END Him: Just HOW did They wind up Together IN the First Place! That’s a Little easier to see Now.
I always doubted it, at First a Little, Later a LOT. Even IF JHH Were the Philandering Scoundrel, and Outright Brutal Villain that Demon Vane always Portrayed Him as, or the Showman who ultimately Embraced that Role, DAY-UM! He is GOOD! In a Street full of People, at the Top of His Lungs, he has made it clear that he is ONLY Speaking to Her.
…And Be Fair. It is Elegant Showmanship for Him to “Negotiate”and use the Same Terms Business Woman Vane did to Address their Relationship, on the Last Page.
Beautiful.
n irritable legal-historical gesture follows: Of course, if sacraments aren’t covenants but mere contracts, try suing for breach.

This would be the 1880s equivalent. 😀

LOVE THIS!
Hello, Erin. I must say; your art style and storytelling are lovely. Thank you for making this lovely tale of tragedy and hope real for us to enjoy.
I think she’s building The Watch in panel 1. Nice detail.
If Vane built it, It likely has at least 83 separate functions, [Including a Death Ray!] Will it tell Time??
Erin I love the way you draw vane’s hair, in fact ilove the way you draw everything about everything!
