    Ooh. Grim.
Physicians will disproportionately often say they’d react like that … prefer to die than live on crippled, but, like everyone else, they adjust to new circumstances quickly if prevented from ending their lives.

I’m a hopeless romantic…I long for the day when these two resolve their issues, as supernatural as they are. But I suppose that would be the end of the comic. 🙁

Yeah I just hope it doesn’t resolve in her death, as her soul is longer bound to her body

When did that happen? She used to have a fire demon bound to her, which John exorcised. Now the only thing that keeps them apart is her personal grudge against John, which can’t be all that great, seeing as they used to be married. More likely it’s residual emotion from the fire demon. I’m hoping it dissipates at some point.

So, the question here, how did John get parallelized? Was he shot? Did he fall from whatever? I hope we get that story. Vane looks so different when she not walking dead. The concern in her face is so well illustrated. Beautiful. I do have a question though. John Henry is a big man, and Vanity, well she small in stature. How the hell is she going to move John, who can’t move on his own, to a wheel chair? Maybe Erin can explain. Maybe not. Perhaps a 19th century Hoyer lift?

“Parallelized”, Hunter has been turned into a quadrilateral!?!? Is that why we can’t see his body from the neck down? Vane’s mad science knows no bounds!

while a fantastic shorthand for flash-backs, i wonder if these memories ARE being burned by whatever fire animates them

I think this is the most genuinely … ‘human’ I’ve ever seen Vane look, and it makes me a little sad.
