JHH as a coyote spirit? That’s scary and cool at the same time. I’m certain at least a few of the residents of this community can see/sense him in this form and seem to be taking it as ‘business as usual’. I wonder if ‘the missus’ can detect his spirit form and if so, would she be capable of “serving him divorce papers” in his current state. Ventilating his physical form would be a no-brainer, but a spiritual attack on him during his spirit walk would be interesting.
Ah, so John Henry is now his animal spirit, coyote, and look, the little wind bender see him. wonder if her curiosity gets the better of her and she follows. She’s a sweet little thing, but could be quite a mischief maker. 😉
W1ndoc, that’s an interesting hypothesis you put forth. You’re right, what if Vane finds his body in spirit state and kills everyone in the village to kill JHH? She not avers to doing that we know. She does ride the trail of vengeance.
I like how the white patch at the back of his head translates to a white stripe in his spirit-animal form. I’ve noticed that hair will often go white first where there was trauma previously. And here’s JHH with a white stripe running the length of his backbone, from skull to tail, right where he’s got some serious scarring… she replaced his spine, right? (Or I dunno, maybe he’s just a skunk.)
Just a skunk? That’s funny. But truth be told I didn’t even notice the white stripe. Now that you mentioned it, yeah it’s something there. Yes John Henry did get his spine replaced by Vane. How the hell you replace something as intricate as that is beyond me, but this is “mad science.”
