The walls and ceiling of books must have taken forever to draw. It’s imteresting that Coyote takes the form of a fire in the midst of all these books / knowledge. Is it symbolic of how little Hunter knows and understands?
Wow Random, excellent observation. Damn well could be. I’m surprised Hunter didn’t call him a “Mangy Mutt”. Now John, don’t speak to the elders that way.
So typically when the main character goes on a ‘spirit quest’, they’re all respectful, humble and ready to take whatever advice is given at face value. I just love how JHH is all casual with coyote and has that “I’m not a newb, tell me something I don’t know” attitude going. I get the feeling these two either have met before, or are quite familiar of each other by reputation.
“Destruction, Reduction, Purification, and Renewal” the first two are something that revenants do, what JHH did to Vane, thus how Vane is, but Purification and Renewal? the two things he needs to “get his wife back” are the two points that he’s bad at. If this is going where I hope it’s going, I am so hype
Heh, hee, ha, ho, chUFF Ol’ John has the right of it. You want to deal with coyote, keep one hand on your not valuables, speak plain and honestly…courtesy that’ll happen eventually. Now, stand up straight and don’t be rude dear. (straightens your collar) Not every day one of my kids looses their minds and makes me proud by talking to coyote and giving my old buddy the talking to he needs.
Well hot dog! It is Coyote.
Hunter, you trying to trade wit with a master?
Well, that was unexpected. But the good ones always are.
Real smooth there calling the giant flaming wolf mutt.
Yep, I am thinking if he’s fortunate he might live to regret that.

i like how the books look like bricks, which doubles this space as both a den an a kiln… it’s a really cool visual!

“But be careful, that first step has killed other wily coyotes.”
Yeah, without an ACME label he might get more than singed.
It’s okay… a coyote can ignore gravity as long as it doesn’t look down.
I like how the older lady is looking at JHH as he passes by…
Yeah, I wonder if the elders can see what’s happening.
I don’t think either john or coyote cares one way or another.
No page 12?
Coyote is PHENOMENAL and I love him and thank you for drawing him.
