Boy, John Henry has no problem helping himself to what ever he needs or wants. If the owner of that undernourished mair doesn’t come busting out of that cantina with guns a blazing, to whit Hunter simply fries him, I’ll be surprised. Well, maybe not quite that dramatic.
Meanwhile, the Amazonian death dealer in the panel above see the “Star 247” on the horse she (?) is about to procure. Curiously enough, the same brand on the be speckled horse John is looking at miles away. Hmm, the plot thickens.
So… does Hunter’s clothing respawn? Does he have a hidden cache of white hats and cloaks? Is there a tailor in every town that carries the same style of clothing for Big and Tall fire benders? How does JHH keep looking like the dandy from out east every time he strolls into town? That’s the big mystery!!
Well not every time Rich, but you do bring up some good questions. If you haven’t done so already I’d review the earlier chapters and see John Henry isn’t always that Dandy from out East. 😉 I like that line.
LOVE this, all the details and the costume John Henry’s wearing- and Rich’s question is both funny and apt,” Big & Tall Fire Benders” where there’s NO extra charge for double fireproofing!
Foreboding intensifies…
I like the detail of the background behind the lower panels 🙂
Interesting leaded glass in the windows.

“Can you describe the man who took the horse?”
“He was tall, had a head smaller than his neck, was almost cartoonlike in appearance…”
We found our next demon horse!

And the horse’s ears go back: “What is the meaning of this, sir! Unhand me or, or, I shall SIDLE!”
