Being the impertinent observer, I noticed that Vane took the shot in the chest. However, in the following pictures, the bullet hole is on her forehead. But great work, Erin! I do not have this wonderful talent!
Luc, your right. Don’t understand that either. And I’m still perplexed as to why Vane didn’t just surrender to get into the fort. However, she may be playing a game with her captures, albeit a very deadly one. After all, she’s not really dead now, is she? “For behold, a pale rider on a dark horse.”
Yeah, this is so effective on so many levels- the spark is rising, and fire is coming- both from Diamonds and Vane–the fort will never be the same again!
Why Vane tried to fight her way in, explained. She’s Vane, and therefore too vain to feign death. She’s a direct kind of girl, and was even whilst alive, and now she’s possessed by a violent spirit of vengeance. Fighting anything that gets in her way is what she does to all and sundry. Also, Erin, nice touch, keeping prior wounds visible upon the lovely lady’s corpse.
I just can’t believe that they are still going at it. Honestly, after that last episode, it doesn’t matter where they are acting out–this world or the next. If there’s a division between the 2 places anyway . . . of course there always will be more buildings to explode and more meddlers or bystanders to take out . . . If they ever got tired, that nice minister from SSSS could do them both a favor. But dang nab them, they don’t get tired!
Trojan Hearse.
Hot dog! We have a wiener!
In this strip, it’s probably a boudin noir or black pudding or blutwurst.
Hmm. Wonder if Vane is a casu marzu or surstömming affictionado?

The head wound is from the previous chapter, ace. And you can see the black (dust? Dried blood? Miasma) spatter in panel one

It’s easier to escape a morgue than a jail.
OOPS! Last panel, her eyes are OPENER!
Sorry, OPENED!
An old comic had a picture of an arrow through a character’s head and he was laughing, saying they’d missed his vital spots.

Well that’s one to look at it. Hmm.
Fingers crossed that I am right.
