Erin, did you just watch “Quigley Down Under” again? Also, your command of faces and expression is impeccable. I really love this comic.
“Bullets ain’t gonna stop that thing…” Here’s a bright idea: AIM FOR THE RIDER! I mean it’ll probably still be pointless and there’ll still be a few tons of fire and steel galloping your way, but… You know what, forget the cannons, where the hell’s your dynamite?
It’s hard to judge distance with the perspective shifting all over, but I don’t think they have the angle to hit Diamonds, especially on a charge.
Third panel, last page suggests Vane has a ways to go to reach the gate, but that second panel here makes it look like they’re almost there. But the angle the soldier is shooting at suggests they’re still way out.
“… It’s the OTHER ONE.” I had a good laugh at that. Seems the stories are getting around, and people are finally beginning to connect the dots.
