Wow, Vane’s actual given name is Vanity. I did not know this. Feeling really dumb now. As for Alex Ivanova, I can’t imagine anyone surviving a kick like that coming from Diamonds massive steel huffs, so I’m going to call this bounty hunter DEAD! But then again, I don’t know what the script is. Erin, little spell check on panel four. Is there an extra “a” in Alex word bubble?
I second the big ups for Sword Interval. Good art (woulda gone with “great” but seriously, NTO puts most everything else I read to shame), great story/worldbuilding.. well worth the views.
The bit of metal between her right hand and right foot. It’s shiny, metallic, pointy, and she has a tendency to throw metal in blade form as well as gunpowder propelled pellets and flechette (I am assuming she’d flechette).
as a reader of sword interval myself, and his earlier work derelict, i also agree that if you are not reading it you should. That said great page as always.
Commander Ivanova (means daughter of Ivan [John]) should have a weapon suitable for the task of trying to get the outlaws, such as a Дегтярёва-Шпагина Крупнокалиберный 1938. Like our M2 Browning (designed by John Browning, 1855-1926), it’s been used for ages.
Nice. “CHUFF” – Diamonds makes noises like a Steam Engine. Hysterical! [and I don’t even HAVE a uterus.] If Vane has incorporated a Train Whistle … I will absolutely lose it. Bravissimo!!
Is that Alex from Sword Interval!!??? That is not a cameo I ever expected, one of my favorite comics of all time and I can’t find *anyone* who’s heard of it.

It’s just a flesh wound! She feels happy!
There was, js — thanks for the catch. I am incredibly sick & finished this up pretty late & missed it. Fixed now, thank you sir.
Sorry to read your not feeling well Erin, do hope you recover soon.
Not only that, but at least I would also pronounce “Vane” the same as I would “vain”.

love how Diamonds still has high perceptions, even with his massive replacement tech parts! And the steam snort, that’s just too cool!
I love Ivanova’s knife on the ground … and the fact that Vanity/Vane (I get it, I get it … and I appreciate it) holds her in some regard.
Honzinator I’m confused. What knife?

Okay, I see what you’re saying. But I think it’s the tails on her coat we’re looking at.
Ah. That could well be. It fits the shape better. Thanks.
She flings knives in The Sword Interval, so …

Bravissimo!!
Sword Interval is an amazing comic (as is NTO)
A cross over with my two favorite comics? Well lucky lucky me.
