Oooo, what evil creator is this John Henry that you have unleashed? Did you know this was coming? Must we now employ the mystic arts to dispel this demon from hell?
so is that not in fact vane’s soul corrupted by black magic and in fact a demon from hell? I have been trying to figure out for the past couple pages if that is in fact vanes soul freed from her undead shell or just a demon that was possessing her body after john made the mistake of trying to use magic to bring her back to life.
Both it and the horse both look so… “pixel-ly” (?) that I am worried this is going to turn weird and be a video game or MMO or simulation or something strange.
Any minute we may hear Riker say “Computer, end simulation.” and the entire cast of Enterprise shoot him in reply.
It might just be me but Hunter’s move in the first panel looks like firebending
I always described this comic as “Gaslamp terminator vs. wild west firebender—and everyone else suffers.”

I thought it might be Vane’s anger/jealousy/etc., basically all her negative emotions that have tainted her soul given semi-physical form.

Then came the terrible moment when Hunter realized he’d forgotten to pay his gas bill…
Simply awesome page.
Admit it, Erin. You grew up crushing on Gambit. You wished you were Rogue.
Admit it!
