Well, I guess this means whatever the plasma demon is, she comes from the same place Hunter’s power does, since she can turn the fire horse into a plasma horse (please forgive me for calling her purple energy “plasma”, the only thing we know is that it *isn’t* angel fire).
Also, love Matteo’s face in panel seven. The lighting is sublime.
It’s not much of a jump, given that fire is a kind of plasma, and lightning is another kind of plasma, and so is pretty much any glowing gas, like, oh, neon, aurora borealis or the sun. All plasma, yup.
I think this was really not expected for Hunter–what will Vane do or be able to do whenever SHE wakes up? Yeah, trouble all around! Random Spanish, I’ll have some of what you’re talking- cause plasma seems to cover it.
So, he routed the being that had taken possession of his wife’s body, and it took his horse. Considering all the horse has been through, as soon as the demon (or whatever) is gone, it needs to go into the Equine Cyborg Witness Protection Program.
Neat little beat at the end with Hunter saying “Amen” to the padre’s prayer. He also doesn’t look like he necessarily expects to survive this, so he’s making his peace.
This is interesting- for so many of their previous conflicts Hunter has seemed to have the upper hand, to the point where he doesn’t seem to worry about Vane hurting him- the most she’s been able t do is interfere somewhat with his plans. And now for once he actually seems to have lost his confidence.
Hooo boy, his horsie just got hijacked by the “thing.” I love the energy lasso in panel 5.
Hrm, he had that horse waiting…

And blood has plasma in it, and it was blood magic that did this
Obviously those two kinds of plasma are not the same though :p
Always taking his horse.
They used to hang horse thieves …

Houston, we have a problem…
I guess she turned the “demon” horse into a “daemon” horse.
Trust me, the UNIX programmers in the audience are laughing.
I’ll see myself out.
As long as it’s not a demond horse, nobody needs Mordawwa showing up.
Diamonds should still be lurking around. I bet he’s nearby to save Mommy and Daddy! Heh heh heh.
Because … wait for it … Diamonds are forever?
No.
Diamonds… are a girl’s best friend!
Vane could use one now. 😛
I bow to the master.

Epona is having a fit somewhere… 😉
Ooooh… damn. (Seriously. This chapter is really taking it up a notch or ten. Cheers)
