Well, this entity *is* out of Vane’s (undead?) body, so it’s the best chance he has of taking it down and try to save what’s left of Vane. Would also explain why he took the Brother; he might still be of use in that fight, since he likely is the power source.
Eonknight is to be praised for giving me a way to hold onto my anti-John Henry Hunter prejudices. I was so deeply and favourably impressed that he showed decency. While I agree with Mustachio, I have to ask, “Does a woman EVER need a reason to try and kill her husband?” Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all week.
I noted the text today. I don’t understand it, either.
I’m guessing that Hunter’s exaggerating. If nothing else, losing 3/4 of one’s blood would be fatal. Even those weird events where a druggie keeps fighting the police despite having lost half their blood volume don’t last very long.
probably hunter did actually stabbed him(causing him to lose blood), and then whit the “angel fire” ritual he did lose even more blood, and probably to fix this he need even more blood
Well, sadly Schlump, as the world’s most famous surgeon (who never treated a patient) Che Guevara showed in his “scientific” executions in Cuba that one can drain more blood than that without killing someone … but the person will be quite immobile, at best … and in agony … which is what seems to have pleased T-shirt revolutionary the most.
I find the demon’s almost mechanical design fascinating, the angular shapes and partitions almost look like circuitry. I find the whole concept really cool, and it’s nice to finally meet the influence behind our revenant friend.
It is possible that every sacrifice of life and blood has similar effect of helping evil… And latest one made what was in Vane stronger so it no longer needed Vanes body… Hunters healing abillity may come from a more minor version of what was in Vane.
This could be a variation on horror story of deal with devil…
Hunter has called the brother of the blood “brother” before, but I assumed that was a reference to his title. This seems more personal.
That, combined with the way the Mother Superior thinks Hunter is an angel, and the way she thinks the brother of the blood can summon angel fire, and I think this is actually a good clue as to Hunter’s past.
Matteo is small, compared to Hunter, and he is currently in no position to defend himself, hence the βlittleβ. Reading more into it seems unnecessary.
Y’know, it’s kind of gratifying to see that guy lose his smirk. And for once he’s running away like he really means it.
Agreed.
The sarcasm in me wants to ask him: gee, Mr. Firebug, running from a little magenta fireworks? π
It’s of note whom he chose to bring to safety.
Indeed. Why the munk? Mother Superior is long gone. Looks like she knew what was about to go down.
“Munk”? Is that a hunky Monk? π
MATTEO IS PROBABLY STILL ALIVE! ALL HAIL ERIN!
Also, Hunter should have known better than to bring a sword to a plasma gun fight.
Random that’s funny. Very witty sir. π
Damn! Maybe that’s what Hunter was running from all this time.
Now my two cents worth. AND SHE BRINGS THE HOUSE DOWN! Usually it’s John Henry that does that. O.o
Guess “she” is NOT playing! John Hunter, you’d better call up your horse and get to riding!

Love the Kirby dots made into squares. Kirby Kubes?
AH HA, we finally see the cause of Vane’s repeated attempts to kill her husband. Nice one, Erin.

Umm, I think you may have grabbed the wrong body there, J.H. …
Has he tried turning her off and then back on again?
Oh yeah, he did; that’s what started this mess in the first place!
New text appears!
It gives no answers and raises more questions!
It is very effective!

Mostly it’s the “I’d let ya be” that confuses me. What did Hunter do to him? And why is he saving him now?

Hunter’s not *just* running away. If he were, he wouldn’t still have that sword.

The action depicted in this is awesome!
I can almost feel the heat from the energy blasts, The shattering of the adobe walls!
Bravo! well done Erin!
Take a bow!
“Little Brother”??
Hunter has called the brother of the blood “brother” before, but I assumed that was a reference to his title. This seems more personal.

So did Hunter bang the brother or not? And if so, why didn’t we get to see at least some of that hotness?
