And another coat bites the dust…. Damn. I had such high hopes that this one would come through unscathed. Unrealistically high hopes, admittedly, but I had them.
The Old West is way too dusty for wearing white coats — that coat would have been filthy in no time, even without the bloodstains. John Henry needs to start buying more practical coats.
wait how does this guy know did he here Vane speak if not then it can be seen that Vane is just some crazy woman who tried to kill Hunter for no reason and killed Emma.
Vane is hollow inside, clearly a creature of magic rather than just a crazy woman and not many mages around and obviously special relationship with Hunter.
I think at this point I’m pretty convinced that both Vane and Hunter are just terrible, awful people. Maybe Emma will come back to life and be our brand new protagonist. She’s perky, brave, and she can sing. Add the tragic backstory of her terrible disfiguring scars, and her parents inevitable fiery deaths at the hands of her would-be lover and… BAM. Perfect superhero material. She can be the Green Canary or something. There, someone we can root for.
How do that pair keep moving with the injuries they so frequently inflict upon one another? Also, is Vane trying to take Hunter alive? She’s avoided kill shots several times so far … to Hunter, that is.
I believe her motivation might be not to kill Hunter, but to force him to kill her instead. Although she is extremely good at marksmanship and planning ambushes, Vane has missed a lot of good opportunities to kill Hunter from afar, opting instead for a closer encounter with him, where he would be able to fight her back. This and Hunters own behaviour in these encounters, which seems to be concentrated heavily on flight as opposed to fight, suggest she is following him for something other than mere assassination.
Oh, come on. Surely, you must give Vane a little credit. Else, why would you have given her a little hole in her chest?
Uh-oh. Here it comes.
wait….. is his foot inside her abdomen? kinky….

I wondered if anyone else was gonna lament the loss of a coat as fine as that.

He had a brown coat at one point. Wonder what happened to that one.
Well he’s not entirely wrong.
Called it.
Hmmm… Hunter looks like he might finally lose his cool with Vane…
Well yeah, in the end that’s exactly right, but Vane was the one who shot Emma.

I’m amazed Hunter can make a fist at all with those kinds of injuries to his arm.

Slow torture maybe? OR, is this some sort of way to limit Hunter’s powers? Me thinks not.

Damn. Nice analogy MrOolong. That does seem to be the case.
Got my Poor Wayfaring Strangers!
Vane is about to get a beating!! Spousal abuse!!!
The typical phrasing is “till death do us part.” That reduces this to simple battery.
