Was Vane toying with Hunter? She shot his arms twice, rather than shooting something more vital. She has only herself to blame for him still being alive
At most? i don’t think she really want to kill him, she want him to kill her, she had every damn chance of doing that, even from a distance, the only thing she does is pile on collateral enough to piss him of so he can finally kill her, her search for him is for him kill her
Well, guess we won’t be needing the pose or the mysterious sheriff/PI who appeared at the end of book seven. It’s interesting to see that Vane is hollow inside. No organs or blood, just a black hole. See folks, at almost every turn NTO takes a different turn to keep us all CRAZY! 😉
It honestly does not surprise me that the woman who has murdered and maimed her way across the country side is hollow inside. I fully expected her to be empty. Albeit i was thinking emotionally and spiritually so this is more literal than i was expecting.
Yeah Wilddeath, I thing a lot of us who read this comic see your analogy too. So much of the back story is still being with held from us, but I’m not complaining. It’s what keeps me (and many others) coming back every day just to read the comments. Erin, you’re so clever. ;))
Is Vane’s spine now unsupportive splinters? Would explain her dropping and all- we have seen her hung and shot already, and most of these just made her glare harder.
And fuck, there is so many people under them, or at least withing firing range if they are fleeing.
Me too. And yet, the dad arriving equipped for a shotgun wedding is something which is, in foresight, completely to be expected. So his arrival at the right time is fully justified. Well, I guess the dad didn’t see that coming either.
“me too” – I mean, me neither. Well, I’m surprised.
Sidenote: if I tracked the gunpowder smoke correctly, dad only shot one of the twin barrels of his shotgun at Vane (the right one). He has one shell ready for Hunter, and he is already pointing it at the right direction, if he feels like blasting him.
You track correctly Helianthus, but will Pop indeed shot Hunter? Hmm, even so what good would it do? We just witnessed Vane fire three rounds from her pistola to wit Hunter simply melted the bullets fired with unexpected consequences. Then Vane fires from her riffle and not only kills the confused and innocent Emma, but wounds Hunter too. Then Vane continues to plug John with said riffle to wit he seems not at all concerned. Erin, this is all so confusing it has turned my brain to mush. :'(
Looking at this page again today I wonder if the shot through Vane didn’t also wind up piercing Hunter, and thus leaving Dad with a really confusing visual and actual result. What exactly is HE seeing??
Boom indeed.
I guess that saves John from having to explain what happened to Emma.
I guess we’ll see how durable Vane is now…
:'(

Poor Emma.

This is going to be bad. Well, worse.
Yeaaaaah, Daddy’s probably not going to be pleased with Hunter either. Mad with grief and all. So, pretty much everyone’s gonna die.
Didn’t see that coming.
Me too.

Correction Vane shots John with the pistol. SEE? CONFUSED!
Dude just can not keep a coat intact.

It’s adorable the way that he thinks that will stop her.
Spoiler alert. John and Vane both live to the modern era and have bounties on their heads.
