I must come out of my silence just a little to say how beautiful this page is. The flash back Vane is having pulls on the heart to say the least. I love the sepia tone surroundings with her ghostly white image making her way to the stairs as she leans to the wall for support. So well Erin, you portray your charters emotions. And Vane’s incredible soul searching azzurro eyes? Bellissimo.
Trying to unpack the history is as compelling as looking at all the details, every time! Love the backstory incorporated, and our young songstress’s face so alight.
:(.
That is all.

You know uptil now I had little sympathy for either character.
But now I feel for Vane great sorrow, being betrayed by a man she seems to have given her heart to.
And Hunter, for I think he feels guilt for what he did to her.
Your story telling like your art is very, very beautiful!
I’m honestly starting to believe that John really wanted to help Vane, in the only way he knew how, and that he still loves her very much.
Uh, I thought it was obvious that these were whores he was killing to try and save her somehow.
