Incredible page Arin, incredible detail. Love the Persian rug in panel four, I can see why you didn’t leave replies to comments last week. Beautiful work and no doubt time consuming. Another master piece. Thank you Arin, and Happy Mother’s Day.
Hi Erin-Happy Mother’s Day to you! This fabulous page–words fail me–I do note though that something unusual happens to the flame in the cup–is it out? transmuted into energy? Inquiring minds will have to wait! ARGHHH! Oh and congrats on the rise in the Patreon campaign.
Oh darn, I’ve been binge-reading for the past week and now I caught up. What am I gonna do with the suspense?
I’m sure I cannot come up with more eloquent ways to praise your extraordinary artwork and captivating storyline than many others have done before, still I have to say this: I admire your work so very much. Every panel is so intricately drawn out down to the last detail; the ingenuity in the panel design and layout is mind-blowing; the story unfolds so naturally with the suspense, action, and flashback laid out in just the right pace, a convincing balance between realism and surrealism……it is wonderful, I love it.
Unblessed with brevity as I am, I’m going to cut myself short and just second you there. Golly, so very lovely. (May I just throw a highlight on the waistcoats? And the clothing in general, my. But for the fact that they’re still, sadly, unlikely to be recognised at a con, I’d just have to dust off a sewing machine and get to work.)
Anyhow, even more belated Happy Mother’s Day, sorry to Shihchuan for unceremoniously hijacking your comment (and not even successfully staying brief, oh dear), and please, keep on creating!
The fact you turn out a full page where every panel looks like it could be a standalone painting every week, not to mention your equally amazing writing adding more layers to the world and characters in a fantastically organic way, is something you should be very proud of.
Did you change the order of the last few pages? I think I like the back and forth between the light and noise in the hall (incredible arrival of Diamonds!!!!!) and the dark and quiet of the library scenes. It made me “hear” it even more to have them interleaved.
I really like the change of color of the light in the last two cells of this page – from the warmth of flame to the cooler light of the last image.
Happy Mother’s Day to you!

I’m with you, jsfury, about that rug. Gorgeous detail and a beautiful different shade of blue.

Gorgeous page, especially those last two panels. Happy Mother’s Day!

Not sure if you get tired of hearing how great of an artist you are. But just in case you don’t: these pages are amazing. Thanks for sharing with us.
