Hit the donate the old fashioned way button just to the right of the end of panel one. I didn’t get back to commenting on last week’s thread but I was going to take the gun pointed at his head option. Looks like he probably dies too; that shot’s right off the heart. So, what the heck, sent Erin a fiver.
I don’t know, I thought Mr. Hunter’s PAFFs would be more of a flamey variety, not so much a blueish sparkey variety… I’m wondering about the mystery machine myself.
I may be alone here but the Paff could signify another shooter on the bits of train which miss Vane has removed from the engine cars quite energetically.
AKA Some bastard has a gun but is still on the bits of train that Vane blew up so it would detach.
I read this and thought that Vane didn’t shoot him. The line of the bullet trace isn’t aligned with her revolver, and she seems surprised and already turning before the “Paff.” I think there is someone else behind her… JHH melted her other weapon – does he how have use of it in some mysterious and other-worldly way like he does the horse?
I’ve been away for a few weekends – I hope to comment more later…
I like the way each of the cast, even if only making a bit appearance, is conceived in detail, with a personality and body language and facial expressions which are unique, and not paper thin. The conductor, the telegraph operator, the guard tossed from the last car by JHH, the fireman, the other guards… It’s another thing that drives the feeling that I’m watching a movie – with real people playing even the smallest parts.
Well, looks looks like you won the bet Dchil. I send the $5 to Erin. Erin, how do I do that?
PAFF??? Not quite sure what sound effect that’s suppose to be, but I can guess it could be Mr. John Henry Hunter returning. Hmm.

And it was very much appreciated! Thank you kindly.
Done and done Hydrargyrum.
Very much obliged, js.
… please feel free to have these bets whenever you’d like. 😉
I bet ONE MILLION dollars that the train turns into a unicorn.
Hey Erin – I think Jenthura has just offered to finance the rest of your artisitc carreer if you just rescript the next couple pages!
Well, this is the first time that I have won a bet with money.
It’s interesting to say the least.
Wow.
She didn’t even give the guy a chance to jump.
Now we have to figure out what “PAFF” signifies…:)
Thanks for the update, Erin. This thing just keeps getting better.
Thank you, TT.
I’ll wager that “Paff”refers to Mr. Hunter.

I’d forgotten all about the machine.
The plot thickens…

Next time the ghostly-looking readhead with a Volcanic pistol and burning eyes tells you to get out, you get the hell out.
I don’t think he will have a “next time”.

Recoil….
Dchil, I thought of that, but the gun seems to be pointed too straight at him, and she seems surprised and already turning for the sound…
As usual, I can’t wait until next week.

Vane looks like she could be a Witch in Left 4 Dead.
KILLING SPREE!!
