Erin, I gotta tell ya I want the penultimate prize so much I am at work on number 2 fan art. I am 99% sure you’ll get a bunch of last minute offerings, ’cause we’re all trying hard to meet your level in our own way. The more I study what you’ve done just to get the atmosphere much less the characters right, the more in awe I am. I just don’t think too much or I’d chicken out. 🙂
Well Erin, I hope those how have entered this contest will soon submit their entries. Although I’m not sure what it is. Guess I didn’t see the posting regarding it.
Now, back to this weeks story, I was wondering when the doctor was going to return and what he was going to do. This is getting very intense now. Your understanding of life’s macabre is truly detailed. Panel four, the blood running down the little boys hand is very stark.
I was thinking over the last chapters and recalling how much emotion and inner turmoil you manage to convey without a single thought balloon. Everything is done with what we see or what the characters say – period. Other great web comics do the same, but the emotions are not always this nuanced.
And once again, the spare use of color in these pages serves to drive strong emphasis. In this case, the color of the uniform and the color of blood, escalating this encounter with the doctor to something like war.
Beautiful finish to the chapter! I’m no artist and I’ve had no time to do anything. I have just barely caught up since some personal issues kind of put my life in a sideways drift (and I’m not a racer either). I have a grandson that is going to get the complete set for Christmas as soon as I have a shipping address. I’ll go to your store for this and not Amazon.
Wonderful end to the chapter. I found a broken Breyer horse at a yard sale and have a broken clock with all these cool gears and springs. I hope by next year to submit if not diamonds then a Diamonds inspired steed.
Well, I only found out about the contest at the last minute, because I’ve been out of the country for the last month, so I’m currently trying to see if I can come up with a worthy entry at the last minute. I already managed to get an interesting concept + thumbnail, so from this point onward it’s just a matter of how fast I can work…
I can’t enter the contest this year because SCHOOL and the fact that art takes me all of the forevers. But I have an idea. And it’s awesome. So I’ll be working on it in the hopes that you’ll have another contest next year. 🙂
I haven’t had tiiiiime to make my submission. =[ I should learn to work in 2d over 3d. 3d is better but gosh it is time consuming and requires odd materials.
I’m guessing this guy’s infected with violet fever? Dang, that’s going to do some serious damage if he decides to join the man-hunt. Worse part is, he probably thinks Hunter did this. Also, submitted my piece.

Panel 6… oh, man, panel 6. You’re so detailed, it’s clear you really think every page through.
Damn it Corporal, now everyone in this town is dead and it’s all your fault, you beatdown Imperial deserter!
Great twist! 🙂

Arnly, great observation. The subtlety can either hit you like a club, or like a feather. Keep it coming Erin we are really enjoying this. 😉
i’m working on my submission still

We’re going end up with a massive Conga line of gunmen chasing each other, aren’t we?
piece number 2 is in the mail. 😀
Mine’s drawn, just trying to get the damn scanner to work.
Submitted.
I’d love to enter, but homework + tons of other projects + always using a month on each piece of art I make = Arrrrgh!

Phew. Managed to finish the drawing after a night of non-stop work. Here it is: http://wingsofwrath.deviantart.com/art/Dance-of-the-Titans-410634283

If I could draw at all I would definitely enter!!!
That’s an emblem that looks down right Imperial.
