I’m off this theory as well. Hunter’s expression isn’t hard. It’s not one of defiance- something that would appear in reaction to a Wanted poster. I bet it’s of something else from his past.
Also, he has this sort of suspicious, hesitant look on his face, it’s not like he’s upset, but more like he’s expected someone to recognize him from his wanted poster and is trying to come up with a clever way of explaining it to the kid, whatever’s on the poster, however was NOT what he was expecting, but as Mr.Sorrow pointed out, it’s probably something from his days on the stage based on the grimace of surprise and embarrassment on his face (the embarrassment wouldn’t be there if it was some poor schmuck who just looked like him, no he recognized it)
In panel four, Hunter looks worried. I guess he’s expecting a wanted poster after the boys words he knows him from his poster. The surprised look in panel five says me, that he doesn’t see what he expected. So, no wanted poster for me too.
I like how you stained parts of the page. Since Hunter’s always having his flashbacks it feels like he’s living in both the past and the present all at once.
I think it would hilarious if she sketches this on paper first, then scans it in, and does the rest of it on the computer. Then, this particular page just happened to have coffee spilled on it. xD
Received my book in the mail today. Numbered 50. It is far more gorgeous than I expected. WOW. If you didn’t participate in the Kickstarter, you really should have. Thanks, Erin
My money’s on it being a Wanted poster… he’s not going to flip out just ’cause a cute kid is so innocent as to not know what that REALLY means, nor would he ever want to explain it. Too late now though.
Well, there goes the town.
My money is it being a poster for a magic show he did, not a wanted poster.
This.
YES! that was my first thought as soon as i saw the last panel
Uh-oh… Poor Hunter. Does the kid even realize what that poster is?
Great expression from Hunter in the fifth panel. And the lad in panel four.
My bet is that is not a wanted poster. Perhaps a poster of Hunter from his days on the stage? Or maybe a case of mistaken identity on the boys part?
I really am not looking forward to that posse busting in on all of this. Wayward has enough troubles.

Same thought here.

Not only that, but the last looks a bit de-saturated to me — I feel a flashback coming on…
I’m not sure what that face in the last panel means.
crazy mime eyes. there isn’t going to be anything standing within a 12 mile radius.
It’s a poster from his magic show.
Looks like kind of something uncomfortable to me.
Seems like he would be more bemused at any Wanted Posters of him. Excellent conveyance of emotion in this page. First rate.
Just saw the wedding ring. Nice touch.

If you look at all the panels, you might notice some Staining. So I definitely think we’re looking at a pre-flashback

It’s an advert from his days as a scantily clad magician
Dear NTO, quit stabbin’ at my heart! 🙁

So glad to hear it!
