Nobody is safe from the crippling malady known as Fleeing Main Character syndrome, characterized by poor aim with a firearm and a flair for the dramatic
If I were that hot, I would also bathe in front of an open window. But maybe not if I was being followed by a vengeful alchemist. Speaking of which, did she invent those water-explody bullets specifically hoping to catch him in a tub? My theory that all JHH wants is ONE goddam bath in peace is gaining momentum.
Think about blood, it’s base ingredient is water. Those rounds should explode when exposed to any water based liquid like blood. The fact that he was in the tub was a happy coincidence. She’s very very angry at him and wants to blow him in fiery chunks.
Okay, now I’m confused. Just how many rounds does Miss Black have in her pistol? She just fired three rounds that I can see, but it’s not a revolver with a visible cylinder. Nor is it a semi-auto with a clip. Squidbunny?
Not to sink your science, but that would only hold four or five bullets tops- a revolver with six or small seven or a pepperbox with ten would work much better, unless she expects to have to reload in the middle of a gunfight.
That did occur to me after I hit the “Post Comment” button. Sorry. I should have recognized that the receiver on her gun is indeed fashioned like that of a Henry. Just a side note. In panel four of last weeks episode Hunter is seeing something through the steam of his bath. It took me a bit to see it myself, but I see Miss Black operating something that looks pretty awesome. Perhaps shapes of things to come?
Panel 5, it looks like a series of scars ( or a single, long one) travels down his spine from the base of his skull. Perhaps another gift from Ms. Black in a previous encounter…
Or perhaps something more…*dramatic music*…Sinister!
The one on his shoulder is a scar from last chapter where she damn near had him. Two to the shoulder and one to the leg. He used fire magic to cauterize the wound. (After killing a beautiful piece of horseflesh.)
Poor Mr. Hunter, he has a lot of scars. By the way, Miss Black seems more and more nightmarish, especially on her face. Those fiery eyes and pale complexion are making her more creepy every panel.
He heals up pretty well for someone who was just shot in the hand and harpooned in the gut! Now let’s see if he can get all dressed before he gets to the front door. xD
Actually I think his reflexes are just that good. He would’ve been dead long ago if he couldn’t dodge or counter something as mundane as gunfire. Plus, she’s a machine girl, I think the steam was screwing with her.

This is pure gold.
Do you know those times when a crazy Red-head shoots at you while your taking a bath!?
i Do. . . . .not

*inTO firey chunks.
FTFY 🙂
Hell of a Freudian slip, there.
… Though given his state of dress in this page, I’d probably have made it, too.

Like every other gun in her arsenal it has a tubular magazine under the barrel, like a Henry/Winchester repeating rifle or Volcanic pistol.

Ever notice that he’s never exploded her guns, even when they’re right in front of him and that’s his favorite trick?
I think she fires four rounds: one in panel five, one in panel six (it ruptures the tub), and two more in the last panel.

It looks like a tatoo to me, but we’ll have to see. There’s also something on his neck if you look close enough.

yay … Beefcake ! 😀

Behold, a pale rider.

I just realized the hand wound is the only one that’s completely healed.
What you see going down is bacl along his spine isnt scars there some kind of syblos or writing if you look close enough…
In the bath? Is nothing sacred?????
She is a bad shot and a slow shot. I could have hit him 3 times and am a lousy shot.
Replace the repeater with a nail-gun and replace her with an over-protective Navy seal brother and this is how my last date with my ex went.
You know, I kinda hope Firehands gets away, starts a family settles down, etc. And Creepy Zombie Alchemist Chick gets put away for life.
Is her aim so bad that she just has to get in arms reach, or she just that dumb?

I think if Vane kills JHH now, the artist is going to have trouble filling the final 9 chapters of the story.
Dude’s got some crazy scarring on the base of his skull.
I often use this comic to explain to people that “protagonist” does not mean “good guy” or “hero.”
guns aren’t melee weapons, why’d she haveta shoot that close? silly vane
