The ambush is set. However, he saw her lead Diamond away, so the ambush will be anticipated.
Unless she wanted him to see her leading Diamond away while trying to be stealthy about it, and set up this ambush knowing he would know it was an ambush, in the attempt to draw him into a second ambush with the dynamite, performing a Zanatos Gambit (in true comic fashion).
Glad you’re holding up under the glacial pacing of this book, which is admittedly kind of bridgey and less whiz-bang-self-contained-action-piece than 1 was/most will be.
It might just be that I’m reading it all in one go to catch up, but I think the generally relaxed pacing works well, particularly with the quality of artwork. It’s not rushing to get to the next action scene, but taking its time, letting us get to know our Pale Rider protagoniste, even as we know so little about her.
It might just be that I’m reading it all in one go to catch up. But I don’t think so.
Man, this comic keeps me excited for Westerns. Hopefully between the two of us, the wild west can remain kind of awesome. Keep it up, this is friggin’ great!

That, or I am just really tired.
Oh, and I love the shading, even the discoloration of the grass where the horses and her trod is a lovely attention to detail.
Much obliged! 🙂
THE SUSPENSE!

Behind that pale facade, our pale rider is a very devious gal..can’t wait for the outcome of this particular chapter. Damn good artwork!
As always, thank you kindly for the encouragement.

Thank you kindly, sir. We holdouts all have our part to do. 😀
I think she just really liked that horse
