His face in the fourth panel gets me every time. It clearly communicates to the reader that these guys have no idea what they’ve gotten themselves into and that Henry is completely aware of this fact.

It’s clever storytelling (and art) AND it’s funny (to me).

Loving this comic, especially the little touches like the ornate gold frames. Always nice to see an update.

      Thanks!

Nice to hear you dig the frames; they were much-embattled among my art pals.

I know I’m a little late to this party, but I did want to say I really enjoy what’s up so far! If I may be so bold as to offer a small suggestion? The Western dialog is mostly convincing–except for the “o’s,” which read with more of a brogue. Perhaps “a/ah/uh” instead? To get the more phonetic display?

Otherwise? Totally in love with this comic! 🙂

I get where you’re coming fromt; it reads a little broguey, yeah. I’m just concerned if I swap it out for a/ah/uh or something similarly phonetic people won’t get what I’m actually trying to say so I settled on just dropping the f sound and hoping folks keep the o sound short. I’ve already caught hell from people about the characters’ poor grammar. 😀

      Thanks so much!

What a wondefull comic so far. It’s really good to see fantastic panels, most webcomics limit themselves too much ( I really like how old comics like Nemo in Wonderland are done).
Just one thing: fire breathing is usually not done with alcohol, but I guess Henry couldn’t care less.

I just stumbled upon this comic, and I just wanted to add the comment that I think your use of frames is fantastic (especially in book 2), and that you should continue innovating in this way, because I think it’s something that isn’t done very often in comics, especially webcomics.

The uneven eyes say he’s got a lot of young Vincent Price in his artistic lineage.

    Those. Eyes.
They’re saying loud and clear “I’m a glacier, baby!”
His mouth, however is talking a different language…
