He’s a dapple grey, like my old horse, of no particular breeding. If pressed I’d say he’s a quarter horse, but I’m not sure that kind of specificity has any place in NTO. 😀
Maybe its just that you have diamonds spots too regular in size and distribution Dappled gray’s I’ve seen have usually had more irregular shaped and distributed spotting often marked by larger spots sometimes growing larger towards the flanks and saddle Understandably a Pain to illustrate repeatedly though
Ooo, and I tought that Hunter had burned her completly in that “memory burning” panel last strip (considering that she wasn’t shown on the last strip after the burning and he said “he’s too much horse for You, anyhow” what I understood as “a pile of ash cannot ride a horse, darling”). Just thought that she would reincarnate from flames again or something like that 😉
Ha! Well, things should be fairly unclear yet, at this juncture. Giving folks something to figure out is half my goal. Hang around till the end and I’ll be happy to answer any lingering questions. 😉
I’m loving the little details- like how the gold watch is recurring the highlight in the last two panels- and singed corner of the last panel. Are the little cogs supposed to be clockwork cogs? Like are they turning back time between the two last panels?! Maybe I’m over-interpreting again 😛 Also- I love how the zombie lady is So Completely Unconcerned about the noose around her neck. Getting hanged (hung?) is just a minor setback.
Whoa!! Just saw the silhouette in the last panel after reading DeathByPendulum’s comment! Is it the same as the one we see in the beginning of the chapter? The second page, I think… And who is Vane? Ah… I just have to wait and watch….
Neither had I. I had thought it was JHH (the fire magician) rising from the flames until you pointed it out. So Miz Black is a zombie or reanimated corpse of some sort. She doesn’t need to breathe except to talk. This gets more interesting all the time.
Does he ever bother to finish a cigar?
Why finish them when he can make them go BOOM. Much more fun.
Cigar box of holding
Where does he get so many cigars anyway ?
Is Diamonds part dragon or something? Or is that just his breeds’ pattern?

…I’m not sure I get the “part dragon” bit?
I think he’s somehow confusing the spots for scales.
I guess that makes sense.
I really want to say something right now that I can’t say.
“What kind of horse is that, dear?”
(I know what you actually meant; but it’s beyond me to not be a smartass)

Nowadays he is only quarter horse 😛

NEW ISSUE. SO CLOSE. GIVE TO ME.
I love this comic so much but I am willing to admit that I have no idea about what’s going on.

Thanks for reading!

Never noticed Vane’s silhouette in the fire in the last panel until now… O.o
Did he burn her in the past too? :O
