My guess is that she is a rare occurrence of a being that has died, but did not. Think Harry potter in Book seven. he was killed, but Voldy Also killed the part of himself inside Harry, Thereby making it possible for him to choose to come back. I suspect that she was posessed as a result of hunter making some kind of deal with a fire elemental or a demon. as such, when she was “killed” this being was trapped inside of her until the elemental was released with fire, unwittingly done by the priest. Recovering from a posession is rare and almost never fail to have adverse effects on the body of the posessed, which would explain the other Undead like effects on her.
possibly, but the fireball when her body was burned… perhaps its both. actually, the simple fact that her body was burned seems to hint at something- anything from the graveyard is full to the reason of her death.
Interesting theorizing Dr. C. I wanted to add that Hunter and Vanes’ first meeting was in a city, not the frontier. The funeral pyre was in a frontier town. Some period of time must have passed between their first meeting and the funeral. Did the charming Mr. Hunter seduce the young city to run away with him to the the West? Did he kill her later? This could be as evil as Crowfeathers!!
My money is on that she is an revenant, an undead being that has come back either to terrorize the living or for an specific task (like avenge it’s death). From what we have seen so far it does seem to fit her.
Then again, she may very well be something completely different altogheter.
She speaks!
So folks can rule out zombie, I s’pose. Vampire? 😀
I vote “Sexy Frankenstein”.

Or maybe just your basic revenant? A soul that can’t rest until some horrendous wrong is avenged?

She’s definitely not a mere human…Do they have cyborgs in the old west? Her weapons are well mechanically made….Maybe she’s a cyborg-vampire!
this webcomic is amazing we need more !!
Thanks man! Fortunately, I aim to keep them coming.
Just imagine her voice and manner of speaking. Gives the thrill. Superawesomeness +10.
While obviously I’m not gonna confirm/deny anything, all this speculation is awesome. You folks are the raddest.
anybody else getting that the horse was stolen?
She’s like Nicholas Cage from Drive Angry
that is one bad ass horse. great job with the human-ness in the face! and on the last page as well making the “evil” horse.
